The Reports section includes configurable reports of the state’s crime data. Unlike the static reports found under the Crime Data Tables or the annual CIT publication, under Reports, the user can generate any of the reports provided to examine crime patterns, trends, and information on victims, offenders, and arrestees by conducting real-time or individualized queries for both SRS and/or NIBRS data. The Reports module allows the user to designate specific data elements of interest for the state, as well as, one or multiple agencies.

Reports are grouped by the methodology used by the local agency to submit UCR data to the Department whether it be Summary or Incident Based reporting. NIBRS reports contain searchable parameters based upon the data submitted by the participating NIBRS agency. The Summary Reports contains reports for summary agencies, but also provide responsive data for NIBRS agencies, as NIBRS data is converted to the summary format. Converting to a single format allows consumers of UCR data to better analyze crime data. The state’s UCR program requires, by state legislation, agencies to report on three specific datasets, sexual assault, family violence and drug seizures which are found under Texas Reports.

Details regarding what each report provides is available by clicking on the down arrow to the right of the report label.

For more information regarding the Texas UCR Program, Summary and Incident Based Reporting, as well as, the Reports Section, please access the Portal User Guide by clicking on the Help icon located in the upper right corner of this page.
